We encourage faculty to suggest books and other resources to add to our collections in accordance with our Collection Development Policy. Each department is assigned a liaison librarian who is responsible for ordering materials to support the curricular needs of our students.
You can search CHOICE reviews online to identify suitable books to support your curriculum. To create a CHOICE account, you must be on the campus network. See the Quick Start Guide to learn more. Once you have created your account, you can log in from anywhere.
You may also send us a book order by emailing Amazon links or simply listing the title, author, date of publication (ISBN is very helpful too).
To order books, contact your liaison librarian or you can use our online Book & Media Suggestion Form.
Books for your own research can often be borrowed through the OhioLINK Central Catalog or through Interlibrary Loan. Please email librarians@wittenberg.edu if you cannot find a copy of a book you would like for your own research.
For films, please check Films on Demand for suitable streaming video content.
If you need a title not found in Films on Demand or by searching our collection in the library's catalog (EZRA), please contact your liaison librarian.
Each department has a small periodicals budget. They are typically over-budget since periodical subscriptions continue to rise and the library budget doesn't. If there is a journal you would like the library to subscribe to, your department will need to decide which subscription(s) to drop. It must be a cost-neutral swap.
