RELI 134: Introduction to Asian and Asian-American Religions

Library Guide for RELI134: Introduction to Asian and Asian-American Religions

Starting Research for your Legal Brief

Discriminatory laws, bylaws, codes, regulations, rules, etc. can be difficult to find through keyword searching because they may not clearly state how they disadvantage certain groups. Knowledge of common ways Asians and Asian Americans are discriminated against (immigration, voting rights, civil rights, etc.) is helpful so you can "read between the lines" when browsing actual codes and regulations. Reading newspaper articles can be helpful to learn about certain laws or common codes that discriminate against Asian Communities in the United States.

This guide includes links to places to find codes and regulations for Wittenberg, Springfield OH, and the State of Ohio. It also includes links to newspaper databases where you'll find news articles that may help provide clues about which laws to look for and some context and background information.
