Library Student Advisory Board

While Thomas Library serves many constituents, students are our primary focus. It is important that students have ample opportunity to provide input on library operations. The Library Student Advisory Board (LSAB) advises the Library Director on important and impactful issues related to the library’s spaces, services, resources, programming, and collections and helps raise awareness of library offerings to the student body.

Benefits of Serving on LSAB

  • Have an impact on the library’s services, programs, policies, events, resources, collections, and spaces.
  • Develop important relationship and networking skills.
  • Gain valuable career readiness skills such as communication, leadership, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Learn first-hand about a wide variety of opportunities and resources available from the library.
  • Help fellow students by representing students’ ideas and concerns.

A Note from the Library Director

As director of the library, I feel that it is important that students have ample opportunity to provide input on library operations. In that vein, I am creating the Library Student Advisory Board (LSAB). Chosen members will attend three meetings per year, have opportunities to provide their input on current and new library services, resources, and events, and help promote relevant activities to the student body.
